Description of Engineering Studies of Design Stage and Design Supervision

Planning of Studies:

Negotiating with the employer to find out more about the goals, needs and
priorities of the plan.

Examining reports, maps, documents, information,
resources and previous conducted work.

Examining and preparing a list of components and types of activities
required for this stage. and divide them according to the type of work, in
order to achieve the goals of the project

Investigating ways of satisfying the needs of studies and design according
to the limitations and facilities related to each of them.

Preparing a general plan of field visits and surveys.
1-6-
Planning coordination meetings with the employer in order to exchange views
on technical issues and implement the plan, applying the requirements of the
employer, facilities, method of prioritizing the submission of the plan and
tender documents of different parts of the main and sub-network, and ways to
provide credit and its allocation schedule and take other strategic decisions
of the plan.

Preparing side services program and prerequisites for studies and design
such as preparation of topographic maps, excavations and geotechnical and soil
mechanics and material strength tests, soil science.

Examining the relationship between activities and determining the
prerequisites and priorities for each of them.

Determining the effective factors in performing each activity and
determining the critical paths.
1-10- Evaluating and determining the type of expertise and the
number of manpower required to perform each of the activities and organizing the
key elements of the work.
1-11- Examining required equipment and supplies to perform each
activity.
1-12- Preparing a detailed schedule for each of the activities
based on the prerequisites and priorities according to the facilities and
limitations within the time frame.

Collecting Reports, Documents, Information and Maps

Collecting all reports, maps and documents related to studies of previous conducted
work related to the project.

Collecting reports and results related to tests, excavations, soil science
studies, geotechnics and soil mechanics and strength of materials and soil
supplying sources and other available studies and documents.

Collecting all topographic maps of the area with a scale of 1: 1000 to 1:
2500 with orthogonal grid at the required distances with curved lines and
connected to the UTM grid.

Collecting cadastral maps if available.

Collecting other reports, maps and required information of plan.

Supervision and Workshop Services
3-1-
Determining method of supervising and determining the stages of work visits.

Preparing forms and documents related to tests, periodic work visits and
issuance of certificates of completion in various stages, issuance of functions

3-13- Planning coordination meetings with the supervision
organization, the employer and the contractor and other agents involved in the
design and organization of these meetings on a regular basis, addressing issues
and obstacles to the implementation of work, recording and minutes of decisions
according to the preliminary report of workshop supervisors
3-14- Investigating and detecting obstacles in implementation
of the work, provide solutions to eliminate them
3-15- Approving the competence of agents of contractors and
component equipment sellers
3-16- Approving the competence of the contractors such as
workshop manager and operations supervisors
3-17- Approving the competence of qualifications and technical
skills of employees in sensitive jobs such as welding
3-18- Controlling the amount of work and additional amounts or
defects in contracts
3-19- Determining the remaining amount of work at the end of
each year and when required by the employer
3-20- Adapting the employer's decisions with the relevant
contract documents and notifying them for implementation
3-21- Checking and confirming new prices
3-22- Investigating delays in contracts and comment on whether
they are allowed or not

sellers and other factors

Organizing Consultative Meetings and Obtaining the Opinions
of the Employer
Conducting
meetings and holding joint meetings at the beginning and during the studies (at
least once every three months) with the employer while exchanging opinions on
technical and executive issues of the project from the employer's point of view
on the manners to implement projects, priorities for submitting executive plans
and tender documents, ways to provide informed credit, and apply them in
reports and drawings

documents, maps and available information in design, base studies and field
visits and surveys.

Examining maps and water and soil quality results

Local and field visits and surveys using photos and maps
to determine the characteristics of old natural and artificial features as well
as the location, specifications and privacy of facilities, factories and other
specifications such as roads, gas, oil, water and water pipelines. Other
possible changes that have been made in the time interval between the studies
of the first stage or the preparation of the required maps and information and
this time period in the project area.

In
this part of the study, the purpose of the study is to obtain the results of
the first stage studies that can be used in formulating the design principles

each of the components of the approved plan of the basic design stage

justification of the approved plan of the basic design stage

according to the service description

technical specifications that must be observed in the implementation of the
